Our school is made up of four classrooms; Kea Room New Entrants, Pukeko Room Year1-Year 2, Ruru Room Year3-Year 5, and Tūī Room Year 6-Year 8. We are a well resourced school and are lucky to have a huge amount of space for our Tamariki (children) to run around and explore in.

We are an Enviroschool and have an active group of children who love nothing more than mucking in out in the gardens. They love to harvest the fruits of their labour and create all sorts of wonderful food with the produce to share with the other kids in the school. This produce often comes from our raised garden beds or our small orchard surrounding the garden area. As a school we are committed to being as sustainable as possible. At the end of 2020, in conjunction with a Sustainability Grant from the Ministry of Education the Board of Trustees installed a 19.8kwh solar system. The system is a great asset to the school, along with a fantastic learning tool for the kids.

In the summer all of the kids have swimming lessons from an outside provider in our semi heated pool. We love nothing more than getting the kids in the pool at lunchtimes during the beautiful North Otago days. Getting our kids active and involved in our community is something that is important to us and whānau. We endeavour to get outside of the classroom and involve our learners in the local environment as often as we can.
