Maheno School is a year 1-8 school situated in the village of Maheno, 15 minutes south of Oamaru. The school was opened in 1875 and the history of the school and the community enriches the children's education and contributes to the school being the heart of the community. 

The children are at the centre of all we do at Maheno School and including families in our school life is an important aspect of the school culture. If you would like to have a look around the school feel free to come and visit us - our doors are always open.
